Around 100 players and supporters turned up to have some fun and to help raise some much needed funds and awareness around breast cancer.
There was a flurry of pink hats, dresses, socks, braces and hair as the participants tried to outdo each other for the best dressed prize.
The night raised over $1500 and was such a success – and was so enjoyed – that plans are underway to hold another bare foot fundraiser before the end of the month.
Two Engadine travelling bowlers and Mitch Metcraft, were the winners on the night.
The club will host the Star Chem triples this weekend (October 21-22), with a winner’s cheque of $1800 and a total prize pool of $4080 on offer.
It has attracted entries from Dubbo, Gulgong, Wallerawang/Portland, Lithgow and Mudgee. Two positions are still available by contacting 0427 723 758.
The Mudgee bowling club challenge team were successful in their area playoffs at Dubbo on the weekend.
The team of P Farrell, singles, R Seis and Metcraft in pairs and A Rich, C Graham and T Rich in triples had combined team victories against Manildra and West Dubbo to set up a playoff against Narromine for another shot at the NSW state club challenge championship finals later this year.
The club won the state challenge in 2016. The team will be competing for the silver level challenge, second only to the gold level.
