The latest addition is a cutting tool to assist in recovery and rescue of people involved in motor vehicle accidents.

Which has completed their set of ‘eDraulic’ rescue equipment, that are battery operated so are better and quicker for volunteers to handle and more portable.

Representative from Glencore, Kepco Bylong, Family First Credit Union, and Club Mudgee, were invited to see what has been purchased and how they’re used.

The Squad had successfully applied to the Glencore 2017 General Grants Round 1 of their Community Investment and Funding Program. Which seeks out activities and projects that are able to demonstrate how the initiative will make a positive contribution to the community typically targeting, capacity building, health and the environment.

Family First Mudgee has been associated with the Squad in a fundraising capacity for the last four years. Their donation was through their members depositing their savings into a bonus saver account and Family First donating an amount to the Squad equal to a percentage of the funds held in the total of all bonus saver accounts. They’ve donated a total of $4,377.99 to the Squad during partnership.

Kepco Bylong Australia donated to the Squad through their ‘Bylong Coal Project Community Investment Fund’, and was one of a number of initiatives to receive a grant through the fund.

Club Mudgee has been a supporter of the Squad since its inception and said they will further assist by donating their raffle proceeds on December 6 to them. Volunteers will be assisting with the night when a $12,000 holiday with $3000 spending money will be drawn.
