The organisation awards include service badges for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years along with an Opal certificate.
Opal have over 6,000 staff across 72 homes, and this year nearly 750 staff members will be celebrating five years or more of service.
At Opal Mudgee there were six staff receiving awards for five years; Kathryn Nunn, Vanessa Ferguson, Joanne Dibben, and Joey Van Dijk; and Sandra Lynch and Karen Britton (both absent).
The home’s manager Dean Saxby said, “ I think it’s a testament to Mudgee, because we’ve also got 30 years, 25s, and 15s as well”.
Opal’s General Manager Ann Knevitt added that the event was one of the ways “we try to do what we can to say ‘thank you’”.
