Are singing songs of joy
I wonder if they all know
About a special baby boy.
He was born in a manger
With lots of love around
The animals and creatures
Made very little sound.
We know he came to teach us
To live with peace and love
Try to help your fellow man
That message from above.
Don’t forget the animals
Birds and lizards too
We must feed and nurture them
Although we’re not a zoo.
Christmas is for everyone
A happy time for sure
Lots of singing lots of fun
Thank God and praise him more.
Christmas Presents by Joy Hibberd
If I could hand out presents
At Christmas time I’d give,
The things that some folk need in life
To improve the way they live.
To those who have been poorly
I’d give them better health,
To those who find themselves hard up
I’d give a little wealth.
For anyone who’s lonely
I’d give them company,
So they could spend their Christmases
With a friendly family.
For those who lack in faith
Or have become prophets of doom
I’d parcel up some sunshine
To brighten up the gloom.
To all who read this little verse,
I wish them all good cheer.
May they have peace and happiness
Throughout the coming year.
