The region’s three branches have joined a group of 11 libraries across Central and Western NSW to offer their members an extensive range of books online.
The titles can be found by clicking on the Library’s website and choosing an eBook or eAudiobook to download to your own device.
Mudgee, Gulgong and Kandos libraries can now offer thousands of titles instead of a few hundred.
“We are pleased that this project is ready in time for the Christmas break and school holidays,” Library Services Coordinator Michelle Maunder said.
“Many people already have a smartphone or a tablet and can easily load the BorrowBox app which will manage their loans from the library.
“Library staff will help you join your local branch and to sign up for access to the books.
“It only takes a few steps to be able to pick what you would like to read or hear anytime, day or night because the library online is always open.
“Through the partnership with Bolinda Digital, we have a range of popular Australian authors and narrators who will delight and entertain adults and children.”
Each of the participating libraries have a say in what goes into the collection which ensures that the interests of their own members are reflected each time new stock is added to the library.
