The Bureau of Meteorology have released their forecast for Christmas Day and at the present moment it’s not looking too bad for those spending Christmas in Mudgee.
The Bureau is predicting a top of 32 degrees and a low of 20 degrees on Monday, December 25th, with a shower or two during the day.
A hot day is predicted for Christmas Eve with a top of 36 degrees curently expected and possible afternoon storms.
In some areas of the state late rain and a cool change is expected on Christmas Day following a warmer weekend.
With six days until Christmas Day forecasters were predicting the possibility of thunderstorms, but said they would have a more accurate prediction closer to the day.
The Christmas Day forecast will follow a particularly hot week, with temperatures around the central and western areas of NSW expected to reach the high 30s in the lead up.
