The annual Koori versus Murri under 16s fixture is set to kick-off at Glen Willow from 6pm.
The clash has been running since 2003 and since its inception, many iconic NRL players have passed through the program – a lot of which will play during Saturday’s Charity Shield.
James Roberts, Dane Gagai and Nathan Peats are three of the current rugby league superstars who represented either Koori or Murri.
NSW Indigenous coordinator Steve Hall views this game as a gateway for prospective rugby league stars. “We want to send them off to the NRL”.
