The match was made difficult for the seniors as Tina Gavin was knocked out of the match in the first half after suffering a broken leg.
Tori Canham might have taken this as a sign that she needed to lift her game to another level, and she certainly did that on her way to a 14-point performance in which scored two tries and converted three.
This sent her to the top of the competition’s point-scoring list, a feat made more remarkable considering she missed a game.
Stephanie Bowling was another standout as the youngster backed up from the 18s’ 24-20 triumph to play a pivotal role in the seniors’ win.
Both sides will gear up for blockbusters next Saturday as the senior girls will have a chance to qualify for the championship bracket with a match against Group 11 at Coonabarabran.
