Rugby League fans would be well advised to arrive early at Gulgong’s Billy Dunn Oval because prior to the commencement of the knockout round six of the Western Women’s Rugby League Championships will be staged with the Castlereagh Under 18 and senior teams up against Group 10.
All Castlereagh senior teams will be in action, with the first game kicking off at 12.30pm, with the newly reformed Binnaway Bombshells who will be up against the host club, the Gulgong Terriers in what should be an interesting affair.
The Dunedoo Swans will then face up to the Coonamble Bears, followed by the Gilgandra Panthers commencing their defence of their back-to-back premierships when they line up against the Baradine Magpies.
The Cobar Roosters will be having their first outing in the Christie and Hood Castlereagh League competition when they square off against the Trangie Magpies in the final game of the opening round.
From there it is anyone’s guess as the teams’ battle it out for knockout supremacy.
