The Red V will visit Tony Luchetti Sportsground for a round four meeting with Lithgow after losing a pair of home games to two of Group 10’s best sides – CYMS and Panthers.
Mudgee’s only win came against the Bears in round one where Beasley turned in a 30-point special.
“Blayney is a good side but it’s no CYMS,” Beasley said.
“We could afford to throw it around a bit at Blayney but the low percentage stuff against your better sides, you can’t do it as often.
“We don’t need to score every set this weekend but we need to set the tone early.”

Not only does Beasley think playing the percentages is key, but controlling the ruck speed will be equally is pivotal.
“Lithgow has a few big boys so we need to stop them getting a roll on,” he said.
“Even though we’ve got a few troops out we still have a pretty decent side. We’re not expecting to win but we know we should win and can win.
