All three have took an unconventional approach to closing out big games, high-tailing it backwards to wind down the clock.
Iro did it in a memorable victory with the Adelaide Rams, Hayne in State of Origin, no less, and Sullivan in last year’s grand final at Wade Park, of course.
Only one of them, though, has to deal with Oberon fans this weekend still seething over last year’s loss in the big one.
The first, hugely anticipated, grand final rematch of the 2018 Group 10 season kicks off on Sunday and also doubles as the Tigers first home game of the year.
A packed house is expected to meet the premiers at Oberon, but not before another bumper crowd at Jack Arrow Sporting Complex for the first Bathurst derby of the season on Saturday night, with the Anzac Memorial Trophy on the line.
