On board is a registered nurse offering anonymous checks for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, Body Mass Index (height, weight and girth) and urine analysis.
As part of its 2017/18 tour of 57 communities in NSW a total of 969 people were tested; 256 were referred to make an appointment to see their GP for a routine examination; 697 needed to be assessed for treatment; and 16 needed treatment immediately.
