With a heart of gold and knack for music, you can’t help but fall in love with Milo.
Nine-year-old Milo has been a part of the Mudgee Music scene for close to a year.
The Labradoodle has gained the love from many customers, some of which who have no interest in music but step in store just to visit Milo.
Employee of Milo’s Scott Goodkin, said nothing goes on without Milo knowing considering his hand in the business.
“We always say we work for him because he’s the real CEO. He’s also a very good supervisor,” Mr Goodkin said.
Before life in the music biz, Milo lived on a farm in Orange.
When dog hunting at the RSPCA in Katoomba, Scott and partner Barbara Goodkin fell in love with Milo the moment they set eyes on him.
“We were dog hunting and as soon as I saw Milo I thought he was so beautiful with those big brown eyes,” Barbara Goodkin said.
It is often the case when students are waiting for their music lessons Milo will waltz up and keep their company.
“It keeps the children calm and relaxed while they wait for their music lessons,” Scott Goodkin said.
He is described as being super friendly, calm and very warm - a true magnet for love.
Due to how much Milo cares about customer service, Ms Goodkin considers him to be a true concierge.
“He absolutely loves people. Sometimes he connects with people straight away and will walk up and chat to them,” she said.
“He also loves cuddles and to give out hand shakes.”
Milo also has a best friend at home named Coco the goat, who the Goodkin’s rescued as a baby.
“Milo would wake up every morning when the goat was a baby and go and wash its face and just care for it,” Mr Goodkin said.
Milo also thinks he is human and finds no amusement in dog things – when at the dog park he tends to stand there and watch.
The future for Milo at Mudgee Music is bright as he will continue to doing what he’s doing until the end.
