The children dressed up in “farmer’s” clothes for the tree planting and their families have been asked to make a gold coin donation.
So far they’ve raised $632 this week, with another planting next Wednesday still to come.
And staff have also raised $200 for a bale.
The planting took place at Putta Bucca Wetlands, in a location recently added reserve where some new trees are welcomed.
