Ben Gregory’s men will host Orange Hawks and will look to give the two blues their third consecutive loss as the mid-season giant has suffered a curious fall from grace in recent times.
Mudgee will need to reverse a 54-12 round nine result that saw the Hawks decimate a depleted Dragons’ outfit and Dragons’ skipper Jared Robinson is well aware of the task at hand.
“They’ve got a lot on the line. Those couple of losses in-a-row could have cost them the minor premiership,” Robinson said.
“They’ll be coming over here fired up and wanting to do a job on us. They don’t want to go into the semi finals on the back of a few loses.
“If they do lose they can go from second to fourth so it’s a pretty massive game for them.
Spectators at Glen Willow will likely be treated to an exciting positional switch that will dynamic forward Chanse Burgess throw on the number six jersey.
While he’ll be on the team sheet as a five eighth, Robinson says that won’t change his role as much as it seems as he’ll be predominantly take on a ball-carrying role.
“He’s always had the skill to play in the halves,” he said.
Kick-off is at Glen Willow from 2pm.
