Millie Malone, Felix Caspar, Peta Crosskill, Mia Baggett and Sarah Willmott arrived on Friday night to a torrential storm that included hail, with a huge storm cell bursting over the Equestrian Centre at Horsely park.
Although conditions improved on Saturday it still was extremely slippery and wet underfoot.
Sarah Wilmott rode Muscles to finish 4th overall in the strong class of EV60 JNR and Peter Crosskill 16th in the open category.
A 14th place finish for Millie Malone who was riding "Sandhills AVA in the EV80 entailed while a brilliant cross country round in the EV105 to Felix Casper riding "Sandhills Darcy" was had with the rider incurring no penalties and just one rail in the Showjumping to finish 12.
Mia Baggett riding "Simpatico" lead from start to finish competing in the EV95 JNR class as she scored 73% in the dressage and followed it up with a clear x country and clear showjumping round to win the class.
Mia's results from the weekend were an impressive display for a young rider who is only competing in her 2nd event at this level.
"Just to win the dressage is very difficult to achieve, to go on and win the entire class in Sydney company is still sinking in," Mia said.
"This is only Simba and my 2nd event at this level so the future is pretty exciting."
The next event for the Mudgee riders is the local event Cudgegong Jump Club ODE to be held at AREC Mudgee 22/23nd September 2018.
