Attracting top notch bowlers from all of the state is a yearly regularity, and this year was no exception.
A total of 30 teams were in the comp with a mix of bowlers from Gulgong and Mudgee, as well as competitors from the Central West, Sydney and Newcastle.

It was the John Storrie team from Kotara that prevailed after five wins each, and a difference of 13 bowls over favourites, the Eric Ryan team from Raymond Terrace.
The best of the local bowlers was Cody Graham’s team from Mudgee with four wins and 26 points.
Gulgong Men’s Bowling Club President Col Ferguson says the tournament is not only good for the club, but is a real benefit to the town.
“The tournament is an absolute benefit to the club and the town with players and supporters not only bringing income to the club, but also supporting many businesses in the town.”
