The event was not only enjoyed by locals, but also competitors from all over the countryside with people travelling from as far as five hours away just to make an appearance at the final round for the season.
“We ended up with close to 100 riders on the day which is our biggest round for the year,” President of Mudgee and Districts Motorcycle Club, Shane Menzies said.
The shootout was meant to make its debut last year but was cancelled due to weather, and once again, there were concerns history would repeat itself, but mother nature was on the side of riders that day.
We were expecting bad weather but it held off for us, so we are pretty thankful for how that turned out.

For the duration of the day, donations were accepted, and all entries for the special shootout were donated to the McGrath Foundation.
The total of funds raised by the Coalroc Shootout sits over one thousand dollars, $1,004 to be exact, which has been donated to the McGrath Foundation.
Twenty riders lined up to take part in the highlight race, and it was Danny Anderson, 34, from Cessnock who took the crown.
Anderson is a former Australian Motocross Champion, and brother to seven time Australian Motocross Champion, Craig Anderson - no shortage of racing in that blood line.
Danny retired from professional motocross some time ago, but was brought back to the starting line in the name of good fun.
The very talented Dubbo local, Tom Geale came in second place followed by Mudgee’s very own Queen of MX, Megan Rutledge.
Rutledge was the only female to enter, and did what she does and came in ahead of a cluster of male competitors.
Due to insufficient entries, the women’s shootout did not go ahead.
Following the success of the day, it is likely to become an annual calendar event.
I think we will make it an annual event to coincide with Pink Up Mudgee.
