Emergency services were called to a house fire in Mudgee just after 6pm, Thursday on the corner of Bell and Mortimer Street.

At approximately 7.50pm, firefighters extinguished the blaze, with the house being totally destroyed by the fire.
An update posted to Facebook by Fire and Rescue NSW told operations were completed at 9.45pm.
“Our thoughts are with those affected by tonight’s incident,” Mudgee Headquarters Rural Fire Brigade.
One female was transported to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
