Artist Celia Morgan from Glen Davis exhibited a series of exquisite paintings and drawing in Rylstone last Saturday. Her colourful works look familiar at first, but become very deep as you look into them and begin to appreciate something hidden.

Celia likens it to delving into a mystical space. She gets her inspiration during twilight walks. Some of her paintings have a sphere, which signifies a trigger point beyond reality. Her work pays reverence to Mother Earth and is an exhibition well worth viewing.
Alice’s Take Away
In 1967 Arlo Guthrie made an epic eighteen, minute song called Alice’s Restaurant. Similarly, Alice Fisher has opened Alice’s Take Away in Angus Avenue, Kandos.
Concentrating on quality ingredients and keeping everything simple, Alice is continues with her creative list. The take away shop is open, 11am-2pm and 5pm-8pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
Art Box Gallery and Shop
On Friday evening, three intrepid artists began a new venture opening, ‘The Art Box Gallery and Shop’. Cheree Edwards, Fleur MacDonald and Lesley Watson have opened an art gallery in Angus Avenue, Kandos. A good crowd attended the opening, spilling out onto the footpath.
Displaying their works and artists from all over Australia, the ladies plan to hold exhibitions for a month at a time. Mostly contemporary art work will be shown. Open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 4pm. facebook@artboxgalleryshop
Henry Becomes a Venturer
On Wednesday nights at the first Kandos Scout Hall, Kandos, Venturer Scout gather to hold their meeting and learn new things. A recent addition has been Henry Mafra, a Rotary exchange student from Brazil. Henry was recently inducted as a Venturer.
Jack Murray the Venturer Leader said Henry fulfilled all the requirements to achieve Venturer status. Other Venturers and Rovers travel from Glen Alice and Blayney for the weekly gatherings, planning bush walks and camping trips.
