Mudgee is expected to reach a top of 41 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by 40 degrees on Friday, 38 degrees on Saturday and 32 degrees on Sunday.
“We are implementing the Touch Football Australia heat policy where if the temperature over 36 degrees at the time of games being played then we postpone or cancel games,” Mudgee Touch publicity officer Ben Harris said.
The committee believes, looking at the forecast, the temperature will be over that 36 degree cut-off so we’ve made a decision to cancel our games for our players safety.

The cancelled games will be classed as wash out, with next weeks matches expected to go ahead.
