University of the Third Age is a voluntary, non-profit organisation that offers low cost educational and social opportunities to retirees and semi-retirees in the Mid-Western Regional Council area.
The Stables was busy throughout the morning, with people taking the opportunity to chat with presenters of the variety of courses on offer this year.
While this is the official enrolment day people can join at any time and different courses run at different times of the year.
- Judith Darling, Mudgee District U3A president
Mudgee District U3A president, Judith Darling, said that those who missed the morning haven’t missed out for the year altogether.
“While this is the official enrolment day people can join at any time and different courses run at different times of the year. This is where the sliding scale for membership fees comes in, which depends on what time of year you join,” she said.
Although named a university, there are no exams or entry requirements, and membership fees cover administration, postage and insurance. Check out the 2019 program online at mudgeedistrictu3a.org.au/
