Former St. George Illawarra Dragons talent Shaun Timmins was in Mudgee on Wednesday January 30 to start campaigning for the Charity Shield.
“It was a great success last year, and hopefully this year we can build on it,” Timmins said.
“The dragons really love coming out here. The town really accepted us and the boys and players got out among the community and schools.
“It’s great for the club, it’s a great fit.”
On March 2, the Dragons will take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Glen Willow.
“They’ve been training hard. Corey Norman has come on board so that’s going to be a massive bonus for the club as well,” Timmins said.
It’s a pretty good spectacle. If you’re out here in Mudgee and want to see some good quality footy, get along and you’ll see some good footy that night.
