Essential Energy crews arrived to find a service line, which connects a property to the electricity network, had been pulled down by the vehicle.
“To ensure safety, power was switched off at 6.49pm after a report that a truck had brought down powerlines in Tallawang Road,” acting operations manager Macquarie, Ben Forgione, said.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank customers for their patience while crews worked to restore power.”
Mr Forgione said that if a vehicle contacts the electricity network, occupants should stay in the vehicle if it is safe to do so and Essential Energy should be called immediately on 13 20 80.
“The damage to the electricity network was isolated by crews and power was restored to all but one customer at 7.44pm," he said.
“If there is immediate danger, such as a fire, occupants are advised to jump clear of the vehicle – avoiding contact with the ground and vehicle at the same time – until at least eight metres away."
