Which begged the question - who or what is the Flux Party?
Flux, according to its website, claims to be Australia's most transparent political party. Dubbo is one of two districts Flux is running lower house candidates for in the NSW election.
The Dubbo candidate is Joanne Cotterill, who is a businesswoman and social worker.
In a statement on the party's website, she said she stood for Flux to "create a political system that will allow people to have a direct say on the decisions that affect their life".
Flux's point of difference is they allow members to vote on legislation by expressing their preference on the Flux app.
On social media Flux frequently calls its work in the state election a "revolution" and ask people to sign up as candidates.
Ms Cotterill also said in the statement, she wants to create a society young people are proud to grow up in.
The party claims to be revolutionising politics by updating the technology people use to tell their candidates what they want.
"Through cleaver technology Flux will divert political power and efficiency away from the gridlocked system and back to the people, the experts," the website reads.
The other lower house member is Meow-Ludo Meow-Meow who will contest the seat of Willoughby and 15 people who are nominating for the Legislative Council Candidates.
At the time of publishing there were 7694 registered members in the party and 2027 volunteers.
