The public meeting held by the Gulgong Cricket Association was triggered by the decreasing number of cricketers across the region with a potential competition merge between Gulgong, Mudgee, Coolah, Goolma and possibly Wellington a search for survival.
However, another meeting has been scheduled in for May 5 to be held at Club Mudgee.
If all is to go ahead, it could lead to a combined 40-over competition, a T20 stand-alone competition on Friday nights, and a modified draw to reduce travelling for teams.
Further details are yet to be decided.
