As dawn began to colour the sky across the Mid-Western region, rows of people paid their respects to Australian and New Zealand soldiers who had served, fallen and continue to fight in peacekeeping and humanitarian missions.
Voices of prayer, music and 'The Ode' surfaced through the crowd marking the final moments of the 2019 Anzac Day dawn service for Mudgee.
Leading into the 10.20am march, faces formed across both sides of Mortimer street and beyond, full of those who were eager to witness this years formation.
The march was indiscriminate of age as primary and high school students accompanied former servicemen and women of all ages through the streets of Mudgee.
As for the commemoration service that was held at Robertson Park at 11am, there was little grass to remain seen as men, women, and children crowded the area to once again join in remembrance.
Led by Geoff Robinson the service was decorated with sounds of song, prayer and stories as the audience stood respectfully.
The wreath laying ceremony marked the final moment, and with that, the Anzacs were remembered.
