For the third round clash in the Westfund Ferguson Cup, despite Mudgee's best attempts, it was the Bathurst Bulldogs who were overcome with confidence and skill that led to a 50-19 win.
Bulldog, Kirsten Howard scored the first try of the match two minutes after the whistle, with the Wombats' Gemma Williams replying with a try of her own six minutes later.
Wombat, Josiah Lautaimi put two tries on the board but it wasn't enough to hold Bathurst back with Jakiya Whitfel scoring six tries on top of Howard and Ali Stanford's points to secure a 50-19 win.
As for the second grade clash between Mudgee and Bathurst, the highly fought game went to Bathurst.
The first try of the match went to the yellow and blue's Adam Plumber, with a second under his belt later in the match to finish the game with a 12-7 win for the Bulldogs.
Tarus Maskey was the only blue and red to get on the board.
