The incident resulted in the game being abandoned after Lions captain Josh Tremain was left unconscious, hospitalised and, although his scans were clear of brain bleeds, ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the season due to the severity of the concussion.
The citing was a step taken by Orange City due to the fact the incident occurred in back-play and as a result was unseen by referee Mitch Dwyer and his touch officials, leaving them unable to act during the game or submit any official reports directly related to the incident.
The Lions' citing was based on eye-witness accounts and was received by Central West late last week, before the governing body's citing commissioner determined Bola has a case to answer to and handed down a judiciary summons as a result.
Bola did not take the field for Cowra against Forbes last Saturday afternoon.
