Emergency services were called to a home on Burrundulla Avenue on Sunday evening following reports of a blaze.
Around 10pm, Fire and Rescue NSW Gulgong's Paul Cavalier said multiple crews were on scene.
"Firefighters from 312 Gulgong are currently assisting a crew from 387 Mudgee at a house fire," he said.

"The fire has now been brought under control by a fast initial attack from the first arriving crews."
Mr Cavalier also said that police and ambulance crews were called to the blaze and that one person had been taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.
