SIXTEEN motorists in Western NSW have lost their driver's licence since new drink driving laws were introduced last month.
The laws, introduced on May 20, see all drink drivers immediately lose their licence under the tough new penalties.

Even first-time low-range drink drivers will be given an immediate three-month licence suspension and fine of $561.
Of the 16 motorists to lose their licence, five were caught in the Orana Mid Western Police District, with one each in Chifley and the Central West.
NSW Police Western Region Traffic Tactician Inspector Ben Macfarlane said the new law had made it easier for officers to get drink drivers off the road.
"It gives the power to police to stop people driving immediately," he said.
However, he said the feedback from some motorists had been that they were unaware of the new laws and what it meant.
"A lot wouldn't know about it, it's like the 40km/h law when passing emergency service vehicles," he said.
Inspector Macfarlane said the new law has also resulted in officers saving time and being able to get on to the next job quicker.
"It's been working for us because it's quicker," he said.
"It's a big saving in time because most people just pay the fine [rather than take the matter to court]."
