July 19 was a day short of luck for local trainers at the Dubbo race meet with only one of nine entries clocking a winning run.
Gayna Williams took the only Mudgee region victory with Lawnmeet placing first in race four, the Commercial Hotel Class 1 Handicap (1320 metres), ahead of Brett Thompson's Tropicana Lass who ran fourth.
As for the remainder of the races, Thompson's three-year-old Duntroon Man stormed to sixth place in the third race of the day, while the Gulgong trainer's Song Of Luck ran third in race five, the Kings Hall Jewellers Class 1 Handicap (1320 metres).
Williams' Wild Cavalier came seventh in race six, the Reeve Wheeler Memorial Open Handicap (1620 metres), meanwhile in race seven, the John McKinnon Memorial Benchmark 66 Handicap (1020 metres), her three-year-old filly Key Factor ran tenth.
For race eight, it was Thompson's Smart Moove who came in sixth, while the trainer's three-year-old gelding Larynx came in fourth in the final race of the day ahead of Williams' Griffin's Gaze.
