Inspector Fehon told us that he is the Officer In Charge of Mudgee Police Station and that Mudgee is part of the Orana Mid-Western Policing District.
Mudgee is a great tourist attraction with many events that make it a busy police station, which hosts general duties, highway patrol, detectives, Target Action Group and the Rural Crime Investigators.
Fifty eight staff in total, all whom live locally, are stationed in Mudgee and they provide a highly visible police presence in town.
He emphasised the importance of community members observing what it happening around them and reporting anything unusual, to either Mudgee Police or Crime Stoppers.
He said, that whilst you may not think what you have observed is important, when combined with reports from others it may be the vital piece of information.
Inspector Fehon answered questions from the floor and afterwards over afternoon tea, about personal, property and cyber safety and provided a handout on cyber safety.
This was a thoroughly informative and enjoyable afternoon and Inspector Fehon was thanked for giving up his own time to speak to us.
