The Mudgee Guardian reported in June that a group of students from the school have been dedicating their lunchtimes to cutting, sewing, picking, pressing, and ironing pads for women across the world in a bid to bridge the period gap.
The first shipment of kits has now been dispatched to The Lebanon distribution project. And displaced young women and girls living in refugee camps will be the first recipients.
The Mudgee Evening Branch of the CWA partnered with the school and has made a commitment to provide essential components such as soap, face-washers and underwear not made at school but necessary to complete the kit.
President of Mudgee Evening Branch CWA, Pamela Matheson said the CWA was more than happy to be a part of such a project.
"It's absolutely a fantastic thing," Pamela said.
"It's all by donation of course and the CWA has stepped on board. We just bought several hundred pairs of knickers and because the girls have got no water and no washing facilities and these sanitary products are reusable, we send up these big ziplock bags and a cake of soap.
"It might sound a bit revolting [to some] - but they can put their products in and wash them in this bag with soap and water like a washing machine and hang them out to dry and use them next month.
"Otherwise these girls can't go to school because there's no sanitary protection when they're menstruating. They have to, more or less, go and sit in the back paddock.
"They don't just send the packages, they send someone with them now. For example there's a girl at the high school and she's going with them to the outer villages and they will educate the girls on how to use them.
"It's just a marvelous thing, they're doing."
