A Bylong man was sentenced for multiple charges after police executed a search warrant on his home, and found a gun in the sun-room, bullets in the kitchen, and 38 cannabis plants in the backyard.

Joshua Weekes, aged 30, was placed on a 16-month Intensive Corrections Order - with a condition that he undertake drug treatment - and fined $700. Officers carried out the order on Friday, February 1, 2019.
They noted that the .22 calibre was left out in full view in the house's sun-room and located around 10 rounds of ammunition in a jar in the kitchen. Weekes admitted that there were 38 cannabis in the backyard and that he was growing and watering them.
In the facts submitted to court, police said that two children resided at the house.
Kandos woman sentenced
A Kandos woman was sentenced to a two-year Community Corrections Order for a domestic incident, during which she pushed the victim to the ground and punched them before smashing a window of their home with a pitchfork.
Tammy Pauczuk, aged 44, of Bent Street, Kandos, was charged with 'Common assault (domestic violence)' and 'Destroy or damage property (DV)'. She had been drinking throughout Saturday, March 23, 2019, and went to the victim's residence at about 5pm.
An argument ensued and she threw a punch at him, but missed. The victim went to the front door and asked Pauczuk to leave.
She pushed to the ground and started punching him in the head. He got up and returned to the house, before Pauczuk used the pitchfork to break a front window.
This caused a laceration to her hand, which was bleeding significantly when police tracked her down soon after.
Mid-range drink driving
A driver charged with mid-range drink driving after he rolled his vehicle, was fined $500 and disqualified for three months to be followed by a 12-month interlock period.
Anthony Lance Ford, aged 64, of Donoghue Street, Kandos, was travelling along the Glen Alice Road at Rylstone, at about 10.20pm on Sunday, March 10, 2019. He lost control after driving though a causeway into a right-hand bend, rolled and was trapped in the vehicle.
Emergency services freed and took him to Rylstone Hospital, where a blood sample was taken that showed he had an alcohol level of 0.133. Ford said he'd been "sipping throughout the day".
Charbon man fined
A Charbon man was fined $500 for drug possession, after a kind-of vehicular cat-and-mouse with police around the township of Kandos.
Troy Weekes, aged 37, of Charbon Road, Charbon, was seen at about 7pm on Sunday, June 16, 2019, driving towards a house suspected of drug supply. Once he noticed the police vehicle he kept going, and drove around a number of streets of Kandos.
Believing he was trying to avoid them, officers stopped Weekes and asked what he was doing - to which he answered "just driving around...because I can". He then received a phone-call and police noticed that the caller ID indicated that it was from a man they knew lived in the street Weekes was attempting to drive to.
They searched his vehicle and found 0.2g of methamphetamine in a wallet, which he said was for "personal use".

A man who recorded a breath analysis of 0.091 after police spotted him riding a motorbike without a helmet, was was fined $500 and disqualified for three months to be followed by a 12-month interlock period.
Joshua Nathan Kiley, aged 48, of Bylong Valley Way, Baerami, was seen by officers at about 8.20pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019, as they patrolled Angus Avenue, Kandos. When they asked him why he didn't have a helmet, he answered "my girlfriend just got the bike, I was taking it for a ride".
He admitted to "four or five" drinks and a roadside breath test was positive to alcohol, before he was taken to Kandos Police Station and charged with mid-range drink driving.
High-range
A Clandulla woman charged with high-range drink driving, was fined $1000 and disqualified for six months to be followed by a 12-month interlock period.
Bronwyn Lee Potter, aged 40, of Ferris Street, Clandulla, tested positive to a random breath test on the Ilford Road at Kandos, at about 10.05pm on Friday, July 26, 2019.
She was taken to Kandos Police Station where a breath analysis of 0.205 was recorded. She told officers she'd had about eight drinks.
'Tried to burn down their house'
A Kandos man was sentenced to an 18-month Community Corrections Order, for charges of intimidation and property damage.
Curtis Dinham-Lawton, aged 22, of Bent Street, Kandos, went to the victim's home on Sunday, February 10, 2019, in order to settle a dispute. While outside he yelled threats to jump on their head and to burn down their house.
The victim remained inside and then heard the screen door being kicked, which forced the wooden door open, splitting the frame in the process.

Brenden James Ashford of Charbon Road, Charbon, came to the attention of police at about 8.30pm on the evening of Friday, August 2, 2019. They saw him pull over in Cooper Drive, Charbon, and stopped alongside to speak to him.
Officers formed the opinion that he was intoxicated and a roadside breath test was positive for alcohol. He was taken to Kandos Police Station, where a breath analysis of 0.115 was recorded.
Arrest warrant issued
An arrest warrant was issued for a man who failed to appear in court to face charges of destroy/damage property and contravening an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO).
Shane Walter Williams, aged 56, of Rodgers Street, Kandos, went to victim's home on the morning of Monday, October 22, 2018, and demanded she return jewelry that he bought. She complied - in order to end the encounter - and he squashed the items.
The ADVO was put in place in Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, and contained a condition that Williams not contact the victim. However, over the following fortnight he sent 30 text messages, left four voice messages, and spoke in-person once.
