I understand that Mudgee and the surrounding communities are struggling particularly when it comes to jobs. I have experienced it first hand.
But I do not understand how devastating the environment should be the only answer to this crisis. Has anyone considered recycling plants that can produce products that supply our road infrastructure etc. Salination plants. bring back meat works. Local grocer stores.
Drop the rents in town so local businesses don't go under. It seems to me that the only people who really want something like this to go through are those that can line there own pockets with kick backs provided by the company.
The out cry over the wind farm sickens me.
Stop thinking so short term. If this mine goes ahead what is gained now wont last. Most miners come and go. They provide financial stability for short term. which is great if your the current financial benefactor!!! The out cry over the wind farm sickens me.
