Now in its eighth year, Flavours of Mudgee (Saturday, September 28) has a strict focus on supporting local producers and generating a $2 million boost for the local economy each year.
As the event has continued to grow, local producers have diversified their offerings with a number of wineries now brewing craft beers and ciders. Among those is Huntington Estate, which will use Saturday's event as the launch pad for their brand new Mt Buckeroo Brew Co Apple Cider and Pale Ale products.
"We've had such a great time at every Flavours of Mudgee event with our Huntington Estate Wines, I can't think of a better event to launch our new Mt Buckaroo Brew Co Craft Beer and Cider," owner of Huntington Estate, Nicky Stevens said.
"It's such a wonderful showcase of the best the Mudgee Region has to offer. All of Mudgee's finest local wines, beer, cider and incredible food are available to try and buy for the thousands of happy people who fill the streets of our beautiful town, enjoying the music and entertainment. What an amazing party, and such a great benefit for the region."
Flavours regular, Burnbrae Wines generate a crowd around their stall each year with punters coming back for their 548 Lager. Owner of Burnbrae Wines, Trine Gay said the benefits of Flavours are long lasting well after the event.
"It is one event that we would not miss on our yearly calendar because it not only is the busiest 4 hours in the street, the traffic that comes through our doors the day of and day after is just amazing," Trine said.
"This event brings not only all the locals out but their family and friends from far and wide. The energy the town produces during this event is something that we love being a part of."
Mt Buckaroo Brew Co and Burnbrae will be joined by The Cellar by Gilbert offering their Goose Apple Cider and Nomad Brewing Co with their Granite Pale Ale at Flavours of Mudgee this Saturday from 4pm to 8pm.
