Visitors from various parts of the Central West made an appearance that saw Mitchell and Desiree Kearney's (Hawkesbury) three-year-old gelding Heza Gentleman storm to victory in the first race of the day, the Jungle Wax CG&E Maiden Plate (1100 metres).
"We jumped and he got in front so I just thought I'd take a sit in front of everyone," jockey, Zoe Connally said.
He just travelled beautifully into the race, he straightened up and I gave him a little kiss and off he went.

Connally says the run made a lasting impression on her, and has hopes he keeps 'ticking along'.
"Everything did go to plan, we wanted to lead on him and it was just a matter of getting around the corner and seeing if he is good enough and he was," she said.
"He did impress me, he worked so much better than what he does when he does track work. Hopefully he just keeps ticking along."
