Charles Alfred Xuereb of Black Springs Road, Frog Rock, pleaded guilty to the charge 'Drive vehicle, illicit drug present in blood etc second or more offence'.
Police stopped the defendant for random breath and drug testing on the Sydney Road, Mudgee, at about 4.20pm on Monday, June 10, 2019.
When asked about using the drugs, he told officers "I haven't really".
Xuereb's solicitor, Peter Orr, submitted that his client was planning to move away from the local area which should help him stay out of trouble.
However upon hearing that suggestion, Magistrate David Day said sardonically, "to that drug-free oasis of the Sydney basin, where he won't find any cannabis or methamphetamine".
