Predicted hot, dry and windy conditions have left firefighters across the region on high-alert with a severe fire danger likely on Tuesday.
The 504,713 hectare Gospers Mountain fire has been burning since late October, while the 15,630 hectare Palmers Oaky fire ignited on December 4.

The Palmers Oaky fire is burning in areas around the Castlereagh Highway, from Palmers Oaky in the south to Running Stream in the north and east through the Capertee National Park.
Currently, the Palmers Oaky fire has a perimeter of 160 kilometres.
NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Cudgegong District incident controller Troy Gersback said firefighters have been conducting backburns in an effort to prevent the huge fires from joining up.
"We've been backburning during the last few days in the Capertee National Park ahead of worsening conditions from today [Monday] and over the next few days," he said.
"We're trying to get the eastern edge of the [Palmers Oaky] fire locked in ahead of worsening conditions.
"Joining up with the Gospers Mountain fire is a real possibility.

"If it was to happen, it would undo the work of the Bogee, Glen Alice and Glen Davis brigades."
Mr Gersback said these brigades had worked hard in recent months to establish containment lines to prevent the Gospers Mountain fire moving west.
A number of RFS rural liaison officers have been door-knocking residents around Illford, Running Stream, Bogee and Glen Alice to provide residents with the latest information and maps of the fires.
