life tiptoe spins
on the crystal winking sheen
spun between
gum trunks and leaves
radiating cobalt
eucalyptus vapour
to myriad greens
framing the face
and spinning form
of the jade hued dancer
twirling in a wisping
swirl of rainbow cobwebs.
Moonthought
Milk clouded moon
whispers through the mist
that hints at rain as some relief
from the waiting.
Summer long bushed eyes
rise to the west mountain horizon
from where good rain comes
to this central western slope
on the range
that divides us
from them
in so many ways
that the telling would confuse
Equinox
That one certainty,
change,
mist blanket drifts,
ebbing, flowing,
ebbing, flowing,
never recurring
ever flowing
as spring days
extend,
nights recede
'til falling
autumn
turning
the process
yet again,
eternally
rolls
on.
