A woman who aggressively attacked police officers before being taken to Mudgee Hospital for assessment was charged with multiple offences during Operation Safe Return.

According to a report by police, at 12.55am on Saturday January 25, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District stopped a 36-year-old female driving a White Honda CRV on Church Street, Mudgee for a roadside test.
The woman allegedly returned a result of 0.325 and was arrested for the purpose of secondary test. She was taken to Mudgee Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis reading of 0.225 was allegedly recorded.

Police say that as they were speaking with the woman, she allegedly became aggressive and attempted to punch two Constables before grabbing one female officer's throat. A struggle ensued and she has hit a third officer, a Senior Constable, before another Senior Constable deployed OC spray.
The woman continued her aggressive behaviour once inside her cell and was taken to Mudgee Hospital for assessment.
She was charged with drive with high range PCA, assault officer in execution of duty, resist officer in execution of duty, two counts of assault officer in execution of duty, assault occasioning actual bodily harm before and intentionally choke etc person without consent.
She was refused bail to appear in Mudgee Local Court.
