For many generations of locals, the beautiful and iconic Regent Theatre has been the Heart and Soul of the town and a bona-fide Cultural Hub.

With its large adaptable foyer spaces, full live stage, movie screen and proper theatrical seating.. the possibilities for its future as a theatre are endless - it needs the Council to step up and buy the building for the good of the community.
Either run it themselves or lease it to a good operator. The drawcard of the Regent has flow on effects for other businesses and the community as a whole.
There is only one Regent - it is an absolute tourist attraction in its own right, it's our History, our Heritage -and if lost, it can never be replaced.
The "Jewel in the Crown" of Mudgee must be retained and l implore Mudgee Council to help achieve this.
