MPAS presents Sam Paine's Menagerie with the first show night Friday, February 14. Mudgee Performing Arts Society's first production of the year, Menagerie, is out of the ordinary. It is a collection of short plays written by just the one playwright, in this case, Mudgee's talented Sam Paine.
While the three plays have very different content, they are linked by being about the animal kingdom (including humans), giving rise to the name Menagerie.
Originally staged in 2007, the show was revived recently for a successful run in Potts Point and now comes home to Mudgee. Menagerie will be staged at Mudgee Town Hall Theatre at 7.30pm February 14,15, 21, and 22, and at a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday, February 22. Tickets will be available at the door or online at mpas.org.au.
