It's nostalgic, classic, and offering up another option for the Mudgee community.
You may have flicked onto the station before, but now when you tune into 87.6, you'll notice it has taken a new form.
Magic 87.6 FM is the radio child of Andrew Andrews who recently found himself taking on ownership of his very own locally based radio station.
Andrews began his radio career some 27 years ago, starting off at radio school to then go on to working in both community and commercial radio.
Despite his extensive career, the thought of seriously owning a radio station has not been on the bucket list but now the not-so-serious-dream has become a reality.
"When I first started in radio I just wanted to be the guy that plays cool records, you never really think of what you want to do or where you want to be, it's something that just happened," he said.
"Every now and then you work somewhere or something happens in your career and you go 'if I owned the station I would do this' or 'I can't believe they're doing that to the station'.
"And as they say, don't go wishing for it because it might just happen.
"This has probably been one of the greatest learning curves in my career."
The station had been in its original format for approximately six years establishing it's very own audience.
While the takeover to Magic 87.6 FM means a different selection of music, the 'flavour' will remain the same.
"Musically we're going to be different, we're going to bring back a lot of songs people haven't heard before," Andrews said.
"We want to ensure that the flavour of the music the current audience are hearing is going to stay on the radio station ... we're going to refine the format and make the radio station a bit more listenable for the general public.
Although we are unashamedly a classic hits radio station, I believe it will appear to more than just the older end because we are bringing back those songs you can sing to and haven't heard in a long time.
- Magic 87.6 FM owner, Andrew Andrews
"We're playing some great evergreen music that's timeless. No matter when you turn us on, you'll hear a great song.
"We want to make it a great little radio station. I believe there's a niche market for this and that's what we're going to aim for."
And as the station grows, so will the content with Andrews suggesting he will make a return to breakfast shows at some stage, while an afternoon show remains on the cards.
"Whenever you put something out there, you're always nervous and anxious because you're not sure how it's going to be received but I'm positive that we're going to put out a quality product," Andrew said.
"Overtime we're going to evolve and see what else we can add to the radio station but in order to do that, we need some advertising support and we hope the area supports us.
"Hopefully people come and sample us and enjoy it."
