One again, it was the Mudgee shooters who dominated the prizes among a field of 101 with Jack Roth taking first in the juniors, Amy Buys second in the ladies, while Stephen Tydd came second in the seniors followed by John Collier in third.
The veterans category was taken out by MSC's Ross Christian, while in the grades, Mick Quinlan placed second in C Grade and Scott King second in B Grade.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, March 8 the club backed up for a second day of shooting and competed in the Misty Mountain 2020 shoot.
Despite a total of 86 shooters competing for prizes, the overall winner for the day was MSC's 19-year-old Jack Roth who shot an outstanding 97/100, only missing three targets throughout the day.
And, in order to achieve the overall title, Roth shot two clean rounds of 25/25.
John Koolbanis, who also shot a clean 25 break, won the first prize in A Grade, George Roth first in B Grade and Mick Quinlan first in C Grade.
In the categories, Mel King came third in the ladies, Stephen Tydd third in seniors and Ross Christian first in veterans.
With two day champion sashes and prizes handed out across the grades and categories, the Mudgee clan cleaned up in juniors with Jack Roth, veterans with Ross Christian and C Grade with Mick Quinlan.
In addition, the club recently discovered Jack Roth will be in the junior Australian team and Amy Buys in the ladies Australian team at the Oceania Championships in New Caledonia from April 9 to 11, 2020.
At the Championships, Roth and Buys will compete both individually and in their team.
"Jack and Amy are both excited to be representing both their club and country in New Caledonia," Mudgee Sporting Clays publicity officer, Mel King said.
"It will be their first visit to the country and Jack's first overseas shoot. Amy has shot in Norfolk Island many times and also New Zealand in the past.
Being part of the Australian team is what many sporting clays shooters strive to achieve. To have two representatives from our club is an outstanding achievement.

"We look forward to seeing their results and know they will achieve great things."
