Council will close a number of its venues and limit indoor activities as it moves to comply with state and federal health orders restricting non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people.
Mudgee Library will be closed to the public until further notice with all planned library events and activities cancelled. Mudgee Library staff will be available online at libraries@midwestern.nsw.gov.au or via telephone on 6378 2740 to discuss options for home delivery of books or to arrange pick up. Council's Mobile Library Service will continue with the exception of attending nursing homes, which is now restricted under new health guidelines. Kandos, Rylstone and Gulgong libraries remain open.
Council is closing venues for hire, including community halls and sporting grounds, and will not be accepting any bookings for events occurring before Monday, 4 May. Existing bookings will be contacted by Council staff to reschedule or receive a refund.
All public parks, playgrounds and pools remain open at this stage, however with the evolving health guidelines in relation to COVID-19 this may change.
April movie screenings at Mudgee Town Hall Cinema have been cancelled in line with the non-essential indoor gathering orders.
Council's Seniors Week activities have been cancelled as well as Healthy Communities activities and Youth Week activities at Mudgee Library.
Council's Customer Service Centres remain open and are also available online at council@midwestern.nsw.gov.au and via telephone on 6378 2850. If it is not essential that you attend Council, we ask that you please contact us via phone or email. For your protection hand sanitiser is available at all front counters and regular cleaning is undertaken in high traffic areas.

A live stream of the Council meeting will be available after Open Day March 18, which commences at 5.30pm, from Council's website - http://webcast.midwestern.nsw.gov.au/. These measures will be reviewed before the next Council meeting, currently scheduled for 15 April 2020.

The 50th (Golden) Birthday/Anniversary of VIEW in Mudgee and also the 60th (Diamond Jubilee) Birthday of VIEW nationally. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and the Government and VIEW National Office advice, the below meeting has been postponed until later in the year.

Meat in Mudgee BBQ Festival. Enjoy a day filled with everything BBQ including competitions, food, beer, wine, markets, music & more, a great day for the whole family!
