According to information on the Essential Energy website, 'vegetation impact on powerlines' is responsible for the outage.
Essential Energy is working to restore power as soon as possible.
The outages are unrelated to the planned outages Essential Energy has said will happen in the last two weeks of April as they undertake maintenance.
