The MGC Medley Stableford saw a field of 37 golfers, with a tremendous turn-out of 34 veterans.
It was great to see a very pleasing number of our ladies who enjoyed the change to Monday golf which allows for them to play a bit more golf.
We also welcomed visitors from Fairburn GC, Royal Canberra GC and Kiama GC.
The top 10 placegetters could probably all claim that, with a bit of luck, they might have claimed the major prize as there was little between a whole host of players.
Having said that, nothing can be taken away from the winner, Ross Smith (36 c/b) who stumbled on the second hole but then showed super consistency to play very well.
Claiming second prize was Kel Wilton (36 c/b) who mixed his form a little but was strong enough to edge out John Novak (36) who took the third prize.
Due to the very pleasing numbers, the Veterans' prizes were:
- Ross Smith (36 c/b) - 1st
- Kel Wilton (36 c/b) - 2nd
- John Novak (36) - 3rd
- Bruce Bell (35 c/b) - 4th
- Jeff Williamson (35 c/b) - 5th
- Merina Wright (35) - Best Lady
