Tammy Riley of Adams Street, Mudgee, was fined $660 and disqualified for six months, for the charge 'Drive vehicle illicit drug present in blood etc'. Which was listed as a second/subsequent offence for the last five years.
At about 12.20pm on Thursday, March 19, 2020, the 31-year-old was stopped for random breath and drug testing in Denison Street, Mudgee. While the breath test was negative for alcohol, the oral fluid sample detected methamphetamine.
She was taken to Mudgee Police Station where a second sample was positive to methamphetamine and cannabis. Riley admitted to officers that she'd taken the former three days prior.

And that she'd used the latter just that morning. Police noted that a child was in the vehicle at the time of being stopped.
Furthermore, in the material submitted to the court for sentence, they said it was the defendant's eighth drug-related charge.
Upon reading that Riley had tested positive to both methamphetamine and cannabis, Magistrate David Day referenced the betting term "the daily double".
And added, "drugs appear to be part of her life".
